    After 5 months of rain floods and in addition some weeks of COVID19 lock down, the first trip to the Selous NP was organized for all members of the road patrol in the southern Tanzania district. It’s good to be back in the parks and we hope to see you soon visiting our amazing country. And do not forget: We care about You!

Parks to visit
- - Southern Circuit
    
    The south of Tanzania is mostly a destination for the second-time visitor. The southern circuit includes parks and reserves that can be visited using Dar es Salaam as a starting point. The Saadani National Park north of Dar, then two hours to the west the little park of Mikumi. The Selous Game Reserve to the south of Mikumi is great for river experiences on the Rufiji River and also for walking safaris. Udzungwa Mountains National Park is all about forests, waterfalls and weird endemics.

    The well established Northern Circuit safari of northern Tanzania offers some of the world’s most diverse safari experiences, consisting of National Parks, game reserves, conservation areas and private concessions. Among these are the world-famous and iconic Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, and of course their less well-known neighbours, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park.

  - Western Circuit
    
    The Western Circuit embraces the parks along Lake Tanganyika, the western border of Tanzania. Gombe Stream National Park was made famous by Jane Goodall’s research on its chimpanzee population and subsequent habituation. Mahale Mountains National Park further south, on the shores of the clear waters of Lake Tanganyika, is a more authentic chimpanzee experience and highly recommended.

Kilimanjaro National Park

The Kilimanjaro National Park is located 300 kilometres south of the equator. The park covers the entire Kilimanjaro, also visible is the mountain whale border at 2700 meters above sea level

Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park located the bottom of Mount Meru, a prominent volcano with an elevation of 4566 m, in the Arusha Region of northern Tanzania. The park is small but varied with spectacular landscapes in three distinct areas. In the west, the Meru Crater funnels the Jekukumia River. The shallow alkaline Momella Lakes in the north-east have varying algal colours and are known for their wading birds.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is inhabiting more than 400 species and many remain throughout the year. Because of this Lake Manyara National Park is a good spot for bird watching. Visitors to the park can expect to see upwards of 100 different species of bird on any day.

Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro crater is a protected area and a world heritage site located 180 km west of Arusha in the crater highlands area of Tanzania. The area is named after Ngorongoro crater, a large volcanic caldera within the area.
